Winter in LA? Yes, apparently, it's possible. Big Bear is a mere hour from Pasadena. Real snow, real slopes, and real mountain... people. Driving from the Inland Empire's never-ending summer into an adjacent winter wonderland is disorienting, but also, exhilarating.

To make it an even better weekend getaway, it was Shai Shai's first foray in the snow. He loved it!
