In July 2001 we trekked off to Europe to see friends and family. This fabulous three week trip was a combination of long-overdue vacation/honeymoon (also long overdue!). To make it even more special, our friends Joachim and Thessa finally decided to tie the knot after 11 years of dating (those crazy kids!).

All in all, excellent reasons for us to leave our new home in Martha's Vineyard and spend some quality time in the Dutch low lands. Fortunately we biked all over, because otherwise we would have gained significant poundage from all the beer, gourmet treats and dinners we had. The trip seemed like a non-stop schedule of parties, birthdays and weddings. Here are a few photos.
