Fall is my favorite season. Each year it's like a big welcome sigh of relief. Everything settles back into a 'normal' pace. The leaves turn, the clear chilly days sparkle, and (the best part), we get to eat all sorts of fantastic comfort foods.

2001 was no exception. Although being far away from close friends made the holidays seem slightly out of whack, we had wonderful new friends with whom we celebrated the season on the Vineyard.

When we took most of the pictures, we were eagerly awaiting the deluge of Xmas gifts that were sure to come (I had been been very very good), and needless to say, Kat's fantastic holiday feasts!
